Porsche recognises that the most important component of any vehicle is the driver. With this in mind, the Porsche Human Performance Centre (HPC), provides a sports science laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art training equipment from official equipment partner, Matrix Fitness.

With the renewal of this partnership, Matrix will be introducing their new MED CE Adjustable Pulley and functional training tools into the purpose-built training and testing facility which includes a sports science laboratory and heat chamber.

Eliot Challifour, Human Performance Centre manager, explains: “The extensive range from Matrix provides the HPC with the optimal environment for testing and training clients from all sporting backgrounds in the fields of endurance, strength and conditioning, heat acclimation and sport rehabilitation."

The Porsche laboratory offers physiological analysis of performance to measure output, track progress and maintain precision in training. All testing is performed using the most appropriate mode of exercise for the user, one of which is the Matrix TF50 XIR foldable treadmill, which is also used for the laboratory testing services and heat acclimation training.

Challifour continues “Motorsport is a team sport, and as well as the drivers, Matrix have been able to support the whole team at the Porsche HPC. Every person contributes a vital cog to ensure a well-oiled machine, and all need to be performing at their peak, under pressure and sometimes in high temperature environments.”
