UK-based performance specialists FitQuest has launched a second-generation version of it’s body composition machine.

Powered by MIE FitQuest Body Composition Analyser technology the new machine measures eight different factors, including motor sensory control, explosive leg power, upper and lower body strength and endurance, as well as speed ability and cardiovascular endurance, measures a person’s physical capacity. Users are guided through four simple exercises and a heart rate recovery measurement over four minutes, while small electrical currents determine body fat, muscle percentage and hydration levels. The user is then given a FitQuest score which measures the user’s fitness against gender and age averages, and provides a complete overall assessment of their body composition. This score can then be used to offer personalised workouts tailored to the individual’s current fitness levels and their goals.
