Following the announcement that British Swimming and Tyr signed an eight-year kit sponsorship deal in December 2016 British Swimming and Tyr have unveiled the new national kit for 2017.
The unveiling took place on 2 February 2017 at Plymouth Life Centre and featured appearances from Paralympic champion Ollie Hynd, Olympic gold medallists Jack Laugher and Chris Mears and Olympians Grace Reid, Laura Stephens, Dan Goodfellow and Ben Proud. The athletes showcased key items from the kit including swimwear and tracksuits in Team GB colours and featuring Team GB insignia.
Paralympian Ollie Hynd said: “It’s great to welcome Tyr on board to support us as we prepare for this year’s World Championships and beyond. The kit looks and feels very smart." Olympic champion Dan Goodfellow said: “It’s always special to wear your national kit and represent your country and Tyr have done a great job with designing the new kit.”
The kit launch comes just in time for the British National Diving Cup, which takes place at the Plymouth Life Centre between 3 and 5 February.
