énergie launches training concept as part of rebrand
Fitness franchise énergie Group has opened thé Yard - a new signature training concept that will be rolled out at its énergie and Fit4less clubs across the UK as part of rebranding efforts.
Launched in conjunction with the opening of énergie Fitness Sheldon in Birmingham, the new high intensity training zone is set behind an urban-style fence in the club. It consists of a circuit-based studio with individual suspension training stations, sprint lanes, a dual-level plyometric platform and a boxing zone with punch bags.
Created by énergie’s training and development team, thé Yard is aimed to help diversify the gym experience for its members.
Designed as group classes, sessions combine “a high intensity, fun and challenging routine”, using equipment from Hatton Boxing and Jigsaw Fitness. The two main classes are: Fighting FIT and Double HIIT (high intensity interval training).
Members can track their real-time workout data and fitness progression via a MyZone belt, which connects to both the MyZone app and the énergie Fitness app.
énergie Fitness Sheldon, which opened this month, is a 9,000sq ft (836sq m) club that also features cardio and resistant equipment, and a studio, which provides spin, yoga and toning classes.
Ian Rushbury, head of fitness, training and innovation at énergie, said: “The Sheldon club opening is only the beginning of a continued expansion for the énergie Fitness brand, with thé Yard concept adding a new dimension in today’s health and fitness club market.”
The énergie Group now boasts more than 100 clubs and over 130,000 members across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
énergie Fitness Ipswich, which will also feature thé Yard, is set to open in September.
