In response to the growing trend for functional training and HIIT group exercise classes, and with Queenax™ units in its Bathgate, Craigswood and Linlithgow gyms already proving popular, Xcite has installed the World’s largest Queenax Bridge functional training unit in its Livingston facility.

The main objective was to maximise use of the venue’s fitness studio without impacting on floor space and offer customers a broader range of equipment and additional group exercise classes.
Robert Taylor, Manager at Xcite Livingston explains: “We wanted everyone to be able to use the Queenax™ on a regular basis, as well as for timetabled classes.”

“When we refurbished the gym we opened up the floor, creating direct access to the existing fitness studio that now showcases the Queenax™, giving customers easy access to the new kit and doubling our gym space.”
The 15.5m long Queenax Bridge spans the total length of the studio wall. No gym equipment had to be removed and the unit has added 32 new workout stations, as well as countless new class and small group exercise options. When not in use the training accessories can be removed and stored on the rig in seconds, providing an empty studio.

The Xcite Livingston team completed a two-day training session with a Precor Master Coach enabling them to take Queenax™ classes and give advice to customers on how to use the unit effectively.
