For the third time, Precor by Inspirit has been awarded the contract to update facilities at The Pleasance Sports Complex at the University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Sports and Exercise (CSE).

The agreement consists of the installation of 100 pieces from the Precor Experience Series, featuring the innovative P80 console, and will be the largest installation of P80's anywhere in the world. The gym will be equipped with 40 treadmills, 35 EFX’s, 15 upright bikes, five recumbent bikes and five AMT's (Adaptive Motion Trainers).

Commencing in December, and as part of the contract, Inspirit will provide a training academy for all sports complex staff. The training features six modules ranging from personal development to leadership techniques, concentrating on a variety of skill sets such as 'managing for the first time', 'situational selling' and 'coaching'.

These courses will run at regular intervals over the course of the three-year contract with the aim of adding value to the CSE’s staff. Inspirit has also assisted with a brand concept for rolling out the core aspects of CSE on a smaller scale, to satellite locations throughout the university campus.

Launching in Summer 2012 and known as 'CSE local', the concept reflects the same member philosophy, P80 equipment, layout, branding, and visuals used at the main Pleasance Sport Complex. This will enable students to train in a variety of locations away from the main site and continue their training regime at whichever gym they choose to use.
