The Ki Fit armband and system has been created to empower both trainer and member alike with accurate body data.

Inspired by the same medical technology which ensures that intensive care patients consume the right amount of calories, Ki Fit also measures activity levels and steps taken as well as the amount of sleep an individual has gained.

A medically-certified device, it comprises a multi-sensor armband and online analysis. Ki Fit works through four sensors that monitor key body functions - including calorie burn; motion; heat flux; skin temperature and sleep duration and efficiency. This information, along with personal body measurements, are uploaded on to a user's PC and cross-referenced with an online food diary.

The system works by combining the Ki Fit armband with an interactive website (www.kiperformance.co.uk), which hosts each individual's Online Activity Manager logging their calorie burn, physical activity, total steps taken and sleep duration and efficiency.

Ki Fit is part of the Ki Performance family and was born out of a collaboration with its strategic US partner BodyMedia Inc.
