Hospital converts to the Pulse fitness concept
Fitness equipment supplier, Pulse has helped BMI Woodlands Hospital in Darlington convert an under-used storeroom into a working gym.
The new gym, which measures only 7.5m x 7.5m (25ft x 25ft), contains a mix of Pulse's latest cardiovascular and resistance equipment including a treadmill, cross-trainer and upright cycle. The equipment also features integrated digital television self-powered by the user to the in-built 15in screen.
As part of the Physiotherapy Department, the new gym will be available to staff and those patients who are in second and third stage rehabilitation following elective orthopaedic surgery.
