LIW 2012 marked the launch of Precor's new premium strength range – the Discovery Series Selectorised Line. Featuring 19 machines, the new range combines commercial robustness and reliability with new design elements to enhance the user and club operator experience, including instruction placards with Quick Response (QR) codes linking through to specially-produced instruction videos.

During development Precor’s mechanical engineers focused on building upon the proven merits of previous strength lines, while introducing new functional and aesthetic features.

An integral part was to create a range of strength machines that would be as approachable and intuitive as possible for exercisers that are new to strength training, whilst also providing a fulfilling experience for those who are much more accustomed to using strength equipment.

As well as the QR codes other features of the new Line include an add on weight system and premium two-tone upholstery for optimum comfort.

The Line also incorporates new translucent shrouds resulting in a more open environment and additional privacy for the exerciser, while uniform weight stack tower heights provide a clear and consistent line of sight across the exercise environment
