Acadia Associates has introduced new Fruit Bite from fruit bar company Castus.

Fruit Bite is a fruit, nut and seed bar produced exclusively with natural ingredients. No sugar, preservatives, or colouring have been added and the product contains a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids and a high content of dietary fibre.

Initially the bar is available in three flavours: Mixed Nuts, Apple & Cinnamon and Cranberry & Fig.

Commenting, Kaj Abrahamsen of Acadia Associates said: "The bars can help adults with healthier eating between meals, producing better appetite regulation, better calorie distribution and better fat burning."

Dried fruits and nuts are part of the government's '5-A-Day' guidelines, helping consumers to eat more fruits and vegetables. Both children and adults are still reported to be short of the recommended portions a day.

Fruit Bite comes in 28/30g portions and is available in boxes of 16 singles or in multipacks of 4 packed in display boxes. The single bar is vendable.

The company's original Fruit Bars come in four flavours: Apricot, Banana, Fig and Strawberry.
