Wellhub's unprecedented growth: 500 million check-ins and three million employee subscribers fuel workplace wellness revolution

More Than 8,000 new wellness partners, including gyms, studios and apps, joined the Wellhub network in 2024
/ Wellhub
This achievement highlights the growing recognition among businesses regarding the importance of providing comprehensive wellbeing benefits for their workforce.
With 93% of employees now valuing their wellbeing as highly as their salary, companies are investing more in their people and choosing Wellhub as their trusted wellbeing benefits partner. It took Wellhub ten years to reach its first 100 million check-ins, but in the past year, employee check-ins on the platform have now doubled from 250 to 500 million. A check-in is any activity a user takes on the Wellhub platform, such as attending a yoga class, visiting a local gym or taking an online class via a partner app. Wellhub's significant growth in subscribers and user check-ins has driven a more than 75% average annual growth rate in payments to partners from 2021 to 2024, underscoring Wellhub’s effectiveness in driving widespread adoption and engagement.
“Twelve years ago, we set out on a mission to empower every company to be a wellness company, where employees can check-in with their wellbeing every day. Today, as we reach 500 million check-ins and three million subscribers, we can see the impact of that mission in full force. Companies are investing in their most important asset – their people – to improve both employee health and business performance,” said Cesar Carvalho, Co-founder & CEO of Wellhub. “Thank you to our corporate clients, our wellbeing partners, our employees and the millions of Wellhub subscribers around the world. You inspire us to keep innovating, ensuring our platform evolves to meet the needs of today’s diverse workforce.”
Nearly 60,000 wellness partners grow with Wellhub
Wellhub not only benefits global workforces but also operates a mutually beneficial ecosystem. In addition to improving employee wellbeing and company performance, Wellhub introduces new customers to its partner network, with 90% of its members being new to the gyms they visit or applications they use.
This generates additional revenue for Wellhub partners, who are increasingly choosing the corporate wellness platform to boost growth. In 2024, more than 8,000 new gyms, studios and apps joined the Wellhub network as wellness partners. Since Wellhub doesn’t own gyms or studios, it doesn’t compete with its partners; instead, it focuses exclusively on delivering holistic wellbeing benefits to companies and their employees. In 2024, Wellhub’s exclusive partners received increased investment and grew 20% faster than those that were not exclusive.
“Wellhub has identified a true need in the market and plays a critical role in helping corporate partners and their global employee bases prioritize health and wellbeing. This significant growth milestone speaks to the resonance of the platform,” said Alex Crisses, Global Head of New Investment Sourcing & Co-Head of Emerging Growth at General Atlantic. “We are proud to serve as a longtime investment partner to Cesar and the team and look forward to further supporting Wellhub’s vision to foster access to comprehensive wellbeing benefits through technology.”
“At the end of the day, this achievement isn’t just about numbers; it’s about real people transforming their lives, whether it’s a company yoga challenge that sparked a newfound passion for fitness, a meditation session that helped someone manage stress, or a nutrition program that fueled healthier eating. We look forward to further innovating across our platform to serve our corporate clients, their employees and our wellness partners,” concluded Carvalho of Wellhub.
