Esporta’s £14m Gloucestershire Health and Racquets Club has opened in Gloucester.
The 84,000sq ft (7,800sq m) facility features six indoor and three outdoor tennis courts – two acrylic and one Astroturf – as well as a 165-station fitness suite, a 25m indoor swimming pool, a 20m outdoor pool, a hydrotherapy spa and a sauna and steamroom.
The club has already been made a LTA Performance Accredited Club, and has more than 100 children in its Junior Performance Academy.
Esporta chief executive Glenn Timms said: “It is a delight and a privilege to officially open this splendid new facility for the people of Cheltenham and Gloucester.
“The Gloucestershire Health and Racquets Club is a wonderful place to come and enjoy a more healthy lifestyle, spend time with the family and participate in a wide range of exercise and social activities.”
