Harbor Beach appoints Mauer

James Mauer has become the new general manager of Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Florida, US.
Mauer has been with Marriott for more than 20 years and joins Harbor Beach as the finishing touches are made to a US$25m (18.3m euro, £12.49m) renovation of the property.
Work at the spa resort is scheduled to be completed by September 2007, while an 11,000sq ft (1,021sq m) ballroom overlooking the hotel’s private Fort Lauderdale beach is planned for 2009.
