Esporta wins ASA complaint against DLL
The Advertising Standards Authority has upheld a complaint made against David Lloyd Leisure by Esporta.
Esporta objected to an advertisement in the national press called Feel Closer. The ad showed a child sleeping on her father’s shoulder with a strapline claiming that DLL ‘has more activities, programmes and facilities for families and children than any other health club group’.
“The suggestion was that its competitors did not offer the range of facilities that it could. We were easily able to demonstrate to the ASA that DLL did not have better activities, programmes or facilities than Esporta,” said Esporta’s chief executive, Neil Gillis.
