JD Gyms launches PT Academy with career-focused qualification
JD Gyms has designed its own personal training qualification and announced the launch of the JD Gyms PT Academy.
Created as an official pathway into a career with JD Gyms, the academy combines science-led education, flexible learning and real-world gym-floor experience, with a guaranteed interview upon qualification.
The launch comes at a time of growing interest in careers within the fitness industry. Google searches for “how to become a PT” are surging, highlighting a clear appetite for accessible, structured routes into the profession.
JD Gyms PT Academy has been developed to meet this demand with a qualification designed to offer genuine career progression.
The 10-module programme covers psychology, physiology, biomechanics and performance tracking. Each module includes an optional one-to-one live session with a tutor, while all sessions are recorded to support roll-on, roll-off learning at a pace that suits the learner.
Trainees benefit from unlimited tutor support, including live sessions, recorded content, AI-assisted learning tools and human tutor guidance, including in the evenings, ensuring support is available whenever needed.
Lee Matthews, chief operating officer at JD Gyms, said: “With guaranteed interviews and a hybrid pathway that offers a salaried foundation, we’re giving new trainers the structure, support and security to build their careers with confidence.”
The course costs £1,699, with flexible payment options available.
