ZigZag adds Trazer to its computer game gym collection

ZigZag children's fitness solutions has added a new product to its interactive gym of computer games that make users sweat!

The company has teamed up with Cybex International UK, who recognised the strength of ZigZag's existing interactive equipment and awarded them the exclusive contract to distribute its computer-based training system, Trazer.

ZigZag, which is part of the PTE plc group, started out providing traditional solutions specifically for the youth market, including strength and cardiovascular circuits, but is now regarded as the UK's leading company for innovative products directly targeting the Xbox generation.

The Cybex Trazer fits perfectly within ZigZag's existing equipment as it combines the training effectiveness of a flight simulator and the challenge of video games, offering fun and functional fitness challenges, games, tests, drills and rehabilitation programmes.

Trazer uses movement tracking and virtual reality technologies to create programmes that measure and improve functional and sports performance movement skills.

The virtual game will sit alongside ZigZag's Sportwall - an 8ft x 4ft light and sound reaction panel - the fitness dance platforms Machine Dance and its muscle strengthening controller Exer-Station Pro.

As with ZigZag's other products, Trazer is suitable for all ages, from school children to adults and seniors, offering an exciting alternative to traditional exercise while improving muscle and mental agility.

Benefits include cardiovascular training, weight loss, functional movement training, enhanced sports performance, core stability, dynamic balance for fall prevention, faster rehabilitation, improved visual and spatial awareness and increased motivation.

Commenting, ZigZag director Fergus Ahern said: "Interactive fitness is the biggest trend in the current commercial fitness market. The concept of 'your mind is in a game, but your body is in a workout' has been adopted as a genuine breakthrough in getting children active, particularly those who shy away from traditional sport or PE."
