Debuted at Leisure Industry Week recently, the Pommel Torso is a new exercise machine created to improve muscle strength of the entire abdominal and lower back region, whilst aiding weight loss.

It's designed to work the core muscles harder than standard abdominal floor and Swiss ball exercises to provide a more beneficial and well rounded workout. While standard abdominal exercises predominantly target the rectus abdominis muscles, Pommel Torso targets all the muscles of the core, lower and upper back in a phasic motion.

Pommel Torso offers ten exercises, suitable for all ages and abilities, to build and strengthen the core. The range of exercises allows users to move in all planes of motion, creating a workout that is more functional than floor exercise.

A key benefit is that exercises can be learned in a matter of seconds, while the risk of incorrect technique and injury is claimed to be extremely low.
