The StrongBoard Mini is a sprung balance board for training and strengthening the core stabilising muscles.

Developed by StrongBoard for newcomers to balance training, it's also suitable for people who might be afraid of heights and older exercisers.

Mike Curry, fitness expert and creator of the six-inch sprung StrongBoard Balance said the four-inch springs on the Mini make balance training on a StrongBoard more widely accessible.

“A few of my clients in physical therapy requested a version of StrongBoard Balance that was a bit less challenging, but with the same benefits.

“I handmade a couple of boards with four-inch springs for them, and the response was profound. After about 100 group exercise classes catering to people of all fitness levels, I started to see a bigger demand to have both options.”

He adds that the StrongBoard Mini allows users to workout and activate muscles and burn calories without the intimidation or challenge of six-inch springs, as the original StrongBoard has.

The StrongBoard Mini is portable and electricity-free. Its platform rests upon four compression springs, allowing individuals to train using their own body weight for resistance during full-motion exercises.

Curry adds: “Simply standing on StrongBoard Mini provides a core workout. When performing basic exercises, such as squats or push-ups, StrongBoard Mini users experience real results much faster than traditional core workouts targeting the same muscle groups.”
