Star Trac redesigns Pro Series bikes
California-based Star Trac has unveiled totally redesigned versions of its Pro Series upright and recumbent bikes.
Both bikes now have an adjustable cooling fan in the display, an innovation first popularised on the Star Trac Pro treadmill.
The display itself has been redesigned and includes new programmes, track display and compatibility with Star Trac’s Pro Partner PDA programming.
The pedal straps have also been changed, with an upgrade to ‘inline-skate’ style to permit easier adjustment.
The upright machine now features a new easy-up seat adjustment system and the handlebars have been designed to incorporate the racing position favoured by many users.
The recumbent model has a new walk-through design and a reading station, which includes armrests and a sliding heart rate bar with a book/magazine holder. It too has a new seat adjustment, with a wrap-around system allowing easy position changes.
The new bikes were designed in conjunction with DesignworksUSA, the team instrumental in the creation of Star Trac’s Pro Series treadmills.
