Exclusive Training Studio in Richmond has installed four Total Gym GTS machines to offer GRAVITY Training to its members just as the club owner, The Biggest Loser’s Richard Callender, uses the same kit to train the next series' contestants.

The club aims to provide the latest and most effective training techniques to its impressive client list; Callender has previously trained celebrities such as Katie Price.

"At Exclusive Training Studio all our members are VIPs," says Callender. "We do have some celebrities on the books, but once you step into our studio we all work out the same.

"The Total Gym GTS is a superb piece of equipment mainly because of its ability to affect so many different muscle groups simultaneously. I've used this equipment successfully with clients, on The Biggest Loser and ensured my new personal training studio has them because they work."

Classes offered on the Total Gym equipment include GRAVITY Blast, an intensive 30 minute fat burning and toning session for the time-poor, and GRAVITY Pilates, which offers a complete machine based Pilates solution. The full Pilates Reformer sequence can be performed on the GTS.

"Outside scheduled GRAVITY classes the machines are in high demand for Personal Training sessions," says Callender. "The sheer variety of applications offered is great for an independent studio with varied needs. You can go from functional strength to cardio to flexibility training in seconds, suiting the resistance perfectly to the client’s ability."

The Total Gym equipment uses a cable pulley system and a moving glideboard to turn the user's bodyweight into resistance. The glideboard is set at one of 22 incline levels to harness between one per cent and 62 per cent bodyweight.

With a repertoire of more than 200 functional exercises, every single muscle and muscle chain in the body can be targeted.

In between sessions the unit folds away easily to maximise studio space.
