Mobilis Performance, the Intelligent Training™ arm of Mobilis Healthcare, has joined forces with health and fitness training provider Juice Performance, to market its sports biomechanics courses to personal trainers, gym instructors, yoga, pilates and aqua teachers, and other professionals.

The tie-in will enable Juice Performance to offer a distinctive series of Injury Prevention & Optimal Performance courses to its registered members, while Mobilis Performance will have access to the Bristol company’s customer database and administrative backup.

According to SkillsActive, the health and fitness industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK, contributing around £650m to the economy and employing around 52,000 full and part time staff.

Qualified trainers are registered with REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) and required to maintain a programme of continuing professional developments (CPD), needing a minimum of 24 CPD points in any 2-year period to demonstrate 'fitness to practice'.

Juice Performance already helps to meet this demand through its CPD courses for health and fitness professionals, while for Mobilis Performance it is seen as an important growth sector.

Juice is a predominantly web-based solution, with five key training locations in Bristol, Dudley, Glasgow, London and soon Manchester. It offers a series of speciality REPs-accredited courses, aimed mainly at Level 2 and Level 3 trainers.

Mobilis Performance is offering three modular one-day courses, designed to equip personal trainers, fitness instructors and others with the means of establishing whether their clients’ bodies are working correctly and - if not - how to prescribe exercises to help them.

All the courses focus on injury prevention and developing optimal performance and are based on the science of intrinsic biomechanics, which is related to an individual’s mechanical make-up and the forces exerted on the skeletal structure.
