Hospitality groups and suppliers gather for the 2014 program
SPAMEETING – the company behind the annual cycle of face to face business buyer events –
has announced its programme of dates for 2014.
The first event of the year – SPAMEETING Asia – will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on12 and 13 June and will draw buyers from countries such as China, Korea and Japan, as well as
from across SouthEastAsia and Oceania.
Juliette Blanzy, Director of SPAMEETING said: “There are many interesting projects coming up
in Vietnam – it’s a country that can attract delegates from across Asia.”
Groups such as Hyatt, Langham, Shangrila,Six Senses and Evasion Resorts, Mandarin
Oriental, and AHMS Hotels will be represented at SPAMEETING Asia.
The Asian spa market’s growth and development has been partly responsible for the growth intargeted spa offers in areas such as organic products, men products, medical brands and
cosmeceuticals, because the region has such a diversity of cultures.
The second event, SPAMEETING Europe, which normally takes place in March, has beenresdueduled to the end of September and will take place in Dubrovnik, Croatia. “Autumn is the
perfect time to meet!” says Blanzy.
The final event of 2014 – SPAMEETING Middle East – will take place in Abu Dhabi in Decemberat the St Regis Saadiyat, a wonderful location which is perfect for SPAMEETING!
In addition, both the COSMEETING and PROJET PRESTIGE events will take place
simultaneously before SPAMEETING, gathering retailers, designers and architects together withspa professionals to exploit the synergies between them.
The opportunity to take part in all three of these events together will enable exhibitors the chance
to offer their products to spas,while also having the opportunity to market to spa, sauna andhammam designers and to benefit from the architects’ presence.
The 2013 SPAMEETING events witnessed the birth of many partnerships, with 90 per cent of
participants indicating they’ll will return in 2014 to find new projects.
A number of brands who exhibited at SPAMEETING in 2013 have already booked for this year’sevents, including Biologique Recherches, Thalion, Orienka, Viora and Dr Burgener, who said
“SPAMEETING is a very efficient prospecting tool.”.
The 2013 events saw a clear increase in the number of participants and many deals weresigned on site. No doubt the 2014 edition will fulfil both suppliers’ and buyers’ expectations.
