Gym membership at the double
A Scottish leisure centre has doubled its membership in less than six months following the redevelopment of its health and fitness facilities.
The Time Capsule leisure centre in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire has seen member numbers rise from 600 to 1,300 after the charitable trust Time Capsule Monklands Trust invested £150,000 in enlarging and redesigning the Lifetime Fitness Centre.
The space now offers a range of Life Fitness cv and resistance kit, the former with integrated screens, set in zoned areas for easier navigation for customers.
The area complements a conditioning gym equipped with free weights and plate-loaded resistance kit and the Junior Lifetime Fitness Zone targeting seven to 16-year-olds.
Supervised by qualified staff, the studio offers specially adapted equipment such as group exercise bikes, free weights, resistance kit as well as circuit classes.
The public can access the facilities as casual members or as part of the Access NL scheme, this giving them use of the gyms, exercise classes, swimming pool, sauna, steam and spa bath at The Time Capsule as well as other leisure centres in North Lanarkshire.
