Enraf-Nonius kit for Games polyclinic
Enraf-Nonius injury treatment and rehabilitation equipment, distributed in the UK by Mobilis Healthcare, has been selected for the athletes’ village polyclinic at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
The 3,000sq m facility will provide medical services for some 16,000 athletes from around the world.
Enraf-Nonius supplied treatment couches, traction units, electrotherapy, lasertherapy, ultrasound, microwave and other equipment for the physiotherapy room, together with treadmills, exercise pulleys, pneumatic trainers, rowing machines and cv bikes for the Active Rehabilitation centre.
The company has already trained local physiotherapists and rehab clinicians to work with the equipment.
The contract coincides with Mobilis Healthcare’s announcement of an innovative Active Rehabilitation package, based around Enraf-Nonius’ EN-Track digital chip-card system, which allows clients to automatically collect exercise data, and a comprehensive choice of its strength and cv equipment.
The solution includes strength training with pneumatic EN-Strength exercise units, endurance routines with the EN-Cardio ergonometers, co-ordination exercises with EN-Tree air-resistance pulleys, and freestyle functional training with EN-Free.
