We’re always looking to add new
talent to the Everyone Activeteam, and our 12-month
apprenticeships are perfectfor fitness enthusiasts looking to start a
career in leisure. With roles for budding gyminstructors, recreation assistants, receptionists,
lifeguards and swimming instructors, you’llbe sure to find the perfect apprenticeship for
you. Each programme presents a fantasticopportunity for enthusiastic and energetic
16-24-year-olds to work as part of a friendlyteam to provide fun, safe and quality
experiences for all of our customers.
Our apprentices also earn while theylearn during the 12-month programme, as

Th is is why Everyone Active works in
partnership with leading training companyLifetime and the Institute of Swimming
to deliver comprehensive training anddevelopment opportunities. In the last
four years, over 1,000 Everyone Activecolleagues have started an apprenticeship
within Everyone Active-managed leisurecentres and most have gone on to full-time
roles within the company. Careerdevelopment can be rapid, and we
encourage apprentices to put themselvesforward for internal promotion.
Everyone Active apprenticeships are
available nationwide, and are a greatway to start a career. We lead the way in
the industry in supporting members ofour team to realise their potential, and apprenticeships enable them to gain skills
and knowledge at a recognised level.

“I was working in fastfood before I applied for the
apprenticeship, but I’ve alwaysbeen interested in fitness
and was desperate to get intothe industry I loved. Joining
Watford Central was the bestthing that could have happened.
I started as a Fitness
Apprentice, then gainedmy Personal Training Level
3 qualification, and overtime added on courses in
PowerPlate, functionaltraining,
pre- and postnataland
aqua aerobics – I was keen tolearn and absorb as much as I
could. I quickly progressed toassistant fitness manager, then
sales manager. Being presentedwith such great opportunities
brought out my ambitious side!

qualifications in lifeguarding,as well as enrolling me onto
a Leisure Operations Level 2course with Lifetime Fitness.
When I successfully completed
my one-year apprenticeship, Imoved into a full-time role.

and I’ve loved every minuteof it! My colleagues have all
supported me in learning aboutthe leisure industry and I’ve
worked very hard to progress.

“Sixth Form study wasn’t forme, so when a friend suggested
I try an apprenticeship, Ijumped at the chance.
I’ve always been into sports
and fitness, and am interestedin becoming a personal trainer
and working around the world!
To complete myapprenticeship, I studied
for and passed the NLPQlifeguarding quali cation
and Gym Instructing Level course. I’ve since
progressed to afull time role at
Swan Pool, shadowing seniorstaff to build on my experience.

“I used to do a lot of sports
at school, and have always beeninterested in learning more
about the fitness industry,so when a front of house
apprenticeship came up atSunbury Leisure Centre I
decided to go for it.
I got a lot of support fromthe Everyone Active team,
including regular meetingswith my line manager and
on-the-job training. I alsocompleted
my CustomerService Level qualification and am now
studying for an NVQ in sales.
Interacting with customersand people on the phone
every day has helped a lot withmy confidence and I moved
into sales in August . I’mnow a full time membership
consultant, which I really enjoy.
I think apprenticeships are agreat introduction to the work
environment and help youngpeople to become more mature,
so when you do start workingfull-time, you’re ready for it.”
