New from Power Plate International is the Express Workout concept, a 20 minute high intensity Acceleration Training™ circuit.

The new training system allows up to 12 users per hour to progress through a timed circuit of resistance and cardio exercises on the Power Plate® machine and the new powerBIKE™. Designed to offer maximum results for both fitness facilities and their members, the system includes two Power Plate machines, two powerBIKEs and a 'traffic light' for guidance on when to move to the next exercise or phase.

It takes up only a small space on the gym floor and is modular to allow for expansion as demand increases. It also includes full instructional materials, so members can use the Express Workout without the need for intensive staff guidance.

The concept is designed to cater for all fitness levels, from beginner to advanced, to allow for progression, so members continue to see results. The circuit utilises the principles of high intensity training, to increase muscle strength, while the cardiovascular element provided by the powerBIKE helps burn fat and aid weight loss.

The 20 minute programme includes time to move between the two phases, and to set up the equipment to suit their needs. Users start with nine minutes of exercises on the Power Plate machine, before moving to the powerBIKE for nine minutes of high intensity interval training. At this point, another two users can start on the Power Plate machine. Up to four people can use Express Workout at any one time, offering the capacity for up to 12 people per hour to complete the circuit.

The Express Workout system is compatible with both the Power Plate pro5™ models, as well as the pro6™ with proMOTION™, so gyms that already have Power Plate machines can upgrade to the new concept by adding the powerBIKEs and supporting kit.
