Impulse ignites member engagement with Funxtion’s digital solutions

Impulse, a chain of training centres in Norway, has partnered with Funxtion, digital fitness solutions pioneers, to transform its training spaces into connected digital fitness ecosystems that serve members wherever they are located.

Having initially revolutionised a hybrid movement to its offering in response to the pandemic, which forced the fitness industry into a new digital era, Impulse has continued to innovate and has now integrated a wraparound digital solution that keeps members connected, both inside and outside of their facilities, 24/7.

This partnership launched with Impulse Online, a white label digital training app from Funxtion which provided a comprehensive platform delivering a wide array of fitness content anywhere, anytime. The success of this implementation, initially at a crucial time during the pandemic, and continued afterwards, also provides ‘always on’ digital coaching within Impulse clubs via both Funxtion multi-screen and single-screen systems.

Hellier continues: “Since we created zoned areas within the gym using the Funxtion in-club solution, we have seen a digital workout usage surge, leaping to 253% more digital workouts in 2024 than in 2023. We anticipate that this will continue to rise as the group exercise timetable is linked up to our new member app.”

The multi-screen solutions enable small groups of people to train together whilst the single-screens provide a popular holistic experience in the form of recovery stations, with equipment and content focused on mobility, stretch and yoga.

This month, using Funxtion’s multi-screen station solutions, Impulse takes a ground-breaking leap forward with the launch of Norway’s first fully digital Group Exercise schedule at its site in Nardobakken. This innovative approach caters to a wide audience, from those who are just starting their fitness journey through to seasoned and experienced members.
