It’s an unfamiliar time, trends and forecasts that were made last year have no bearing on today. We are exploring and trying to figure out this “new world” week by week. It’s not easy, but where there is challenge also comes opportunity...

As a brand, Freemotion has always done things differently, with a long and proud heritage of innovation. We are constantly evolving and driving new product innovation and solutions for the global fitness sector. And it’s this reason why we have been first to market with a number of new product innovations such as cable-strength training, the world’s first road simulating bike and now we have a solution which is perfect for the COVID-world we have to operate in.

As humans we thrive on connections. The largely negative response to the recent UK government announcements about the stricter tightening of the social distancing rules, and the introduction of the “rule of six”, is testament to that. This culture and behaviour can be applied to your gym operation and looking to generate human connection through fitness is a great way to keep members engaged, motivated and returning week after week. Small group training is very successful at driving member outcomes and lifetime value. This is primarily due to its ability to make people feel connected to not just a coach, but an entire fitness community through the combination of exercise and social interaction.
