Sports Science degree

The University of Lincolnshire & Humberside is to offer a new Sports Science degree from September 2002 subject to validation.The three-year BSc (Hons) degree will include subjects such as human biochemistry, physiology and nutrition. Professor Brian McGaw, head of the Department of Biological and Food Sciences at ULH, says the launch of the course will coincide with a growing awareness of the importance of physical exercise: Modern technology has created a sedentary lifestyle which has resulted in an overall decline in the fitness and health of the population.
