Personal trainers need support as employment opportunities diminish: FREE on-demand webinar

The £1 million grant offer has been put in place to enable fitness professionals to become franchisees
– Jan Spaticchia, Vice chair, BMF

Evidence suggests that over many years personal trainers have been forced to leave the fitness industry because employment patterns are erratic, earnings are inconsistent and it is difficult to build up value needed to secure an appropriate lifestyle.

Mission Active - Claim your share of the BMF £1m Support Fund

The coronavirus epidemic has added considerable additional pressure to an employment environment that was already challenging. Fitness professionals are being hit particularly hard. Even with the reopening of the sector number and mobility restrictions mean that fewer personal trainers are required to deliver training. Clubs are maximising member capacity within government guidelines and this inevitably means that the practice of having personal trainers interacting with members is greatly diminished.

Personal trainers and fitness professionals need to reinvent themselves. They need to discover new ways of meeting the fitness needs of the community outside of the traditional gym environment. Many personal trainers are already self-employed and entrepreneurship is a logical step that many may take to create a lifestyle that reduces dependency on a volatile fitness sector.

Mission Active has been designed and developed by BMF, Europe’s largest outdoor fitness operator, to offer fitness professionals a chance to get into business at a price that is affordable and with the grant that is only available to fitness professionals who are finding it difficult to restart after the Covid restriction period

BMF plans to triple its UK Park venues in the next year in order to bring outdoor fitness and health to every community in the country. There has never been a more important time for people to embrace fitness. This expansion will open up affordable territory that will enable fitness professionals to own their own business, build real value in that business over time and enjoy a lifestyle that fits with personal aspiration.

As a BMF franchisee you will have all the support you need to locate a territory, launch your outdoor business and grow that business over many years. You’ll be joining an expanding network of fellow professionals. The network support each other and the BMF central team are there to assist with marketing, funding, technology, procurement and programming.

The £1 million grant offer has been put in place to enable fitness professionals to become franchisees . It will support up to 100 applicants. If you are ready for a change of lifestyle and a greater level of independence then call 07955 748203 to speak to one of the BMF team that can get you started.
