The coronavirus epidemic has added considerable additional pressure to an employment environment that was already challenging. Fitness professionals are being hit particularly hard. Even with the reopening of the sector number and mobility restrictions mean that fewer personal trainers are required to deliver training. Clubs are maximising member capacity within government guidelines and this inevitably means that the practice of having personal trainers interacting with members is greatly diminished.
Personal trainers and fitness professionals need to reinvent themselves. They need to discover new ways of meeting the fitness needs of the community outside of the traditional gym environment. Many personal trainers are already self-employed and entrepreneurship is a logical step that many may take to create a lifestyle that reduces dependency on a volatile fitness sector.
Mission Active has been designed and developed by BMF, Europe’s largest outdoor fitness operator, to offer fitness professionals a chance to get into business at a price that is affordable and with the grant that is only available to fitness professionals who are finding it difficult to restart after the Covid restriction period
