Lifetime launches H+F qualifications
Lifetime is launching an array of new qualifications for trainees in the health and fitness sector.
A new Diploma in Personal Training for those working towards personal trainer status at level 3 on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) will be introduced in July.
The course will be delivered to trainees through interactive CD-ROMs, workbooks and practical workshops.
Mandatory modules will comprise Exercise and Fitness Knowledge; Gym Instructing; Nutrition and Weight Management; Advanced Programming; Training Environments; Health Screening and Fitness Assessment; and Business Skills.
Trainees will also select a Seniors or Ante/Post Natal specialism module and attend a one-day workshop on Core Stability; Group Studio Cycling; Business Skills for the PT; Circuits Solutions; Sports and Performance Nutrition or Functional and Sport Specific Training.
In addition to the new diploma, Lifetime is launching a Certificate in Personal Training, which will include modules on Nutrition; Exercise and Fitness Knowledge (level 3); Advanced Programming and Business Skills.
Elsewhere, the leisure training provider is rolling out a level 2 NVQ in Membership Sales across DC Leisure’s 78 Kinetika sites, which it plans to develop to level 3.
