Language training for tourism sector
A scheme to improve language skills in Nottinghamshire's tourism sector launches today.
Run by EMFEC, a regional association for further education, and co-funded by Nottinghamshire Learning and Skills Council, the project will initially be available to 100 people for post-beginner level French.
The course, available via the Internet, comprises three modules aimed at tourist information centre employees, accommodation providers and attraction providers.
The project cost £30,000, but EMFEC has recently secured almost double that to expand the project to beginner level German, Spanish and Italian. Details: +44 (0)115 854 1627
