Johnstown House completes 10m euro spa revamp

The Marriott Johnstown House Hotel Spa in Enfield, County Meath in Ireland has completed a 10m euro (£6.8m, US$12m) refurbishment which included the introduction of a purpose-built 30,000sq ft (2,800sq m) luxury spa and leisure facility.

The new complex, which is equally divided into a spa and health and fitness area, took 18 months to complete and opened to the public earlier this month.

The new spa includes 16 treatment rooms, a relaxation area, hot thermal suites, an aroma steamroom, a Finnish sauna and a caldarium.

Each treatment room has its own built-in vanity unit and 12 treatment rooms have been made specifically to introduce the Elemis range of products to the spa.

Other amenities include a floatation tank, a serial mud chamber, a Canadian hot tub and spa pool.

The new gym boasts 32 cv stations and a mixture of resistance equipment – including a free weights area.

Other amenitis include two exercise suites for pilates and aerobic, a climbing wall and a golf simulator. The fitness area also shares a 25m swimming pool with the spa.

The 126-room hotel also boasts 15 meeting rooms.
