First Thai restaurant in Europe to gain Michelin star

A Thai restaurant in London has become the first in Europe to be awarded a Michelin star.
Nahm at London's Halkin Hotel, was opened last July by Australian chef David Thompson, after closing his Sydney restaurant, Darley Street Thai.
Thompson has lived in Thailand and spent 15 years researching Thai culinary techniques and recipes; he is also consultant at the Thai cooking institute, Suan Dusit in Bangkok.
