First Doubletree by Hilton for southeast Asia
Hilton Worldwide has opened its first Doubletree by Hilton hotel in southeast Asia.
The 540-room, 34-storey Doubletree by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur is in the city's Golden Triangle district, northeast of the city centre. The hotel is owned by MGPA Asia Fund II and is part of an integrated property called The Intermark. As well as the hotel, The Intermark has a retail podium and a grade A office tower.
In addition to its standard rooms, the hotel offers nine Executive Floors from the 26th floor upwards, including 152 executive guestrooms, 19 deluxe suites, 21 executive suites and five terrace suites, the latter with private terraces overlooking the city skyline. Conference and event facilities include a 1,150sq m (12,000sq ft) grand ballroom and nine additional configurable function rooms.
Dining and wining options include Tosca, for Italian cuisine; the Cellar Door; the Axis Lounge; and The Food Store, with Makan Kitchen being the hotel's 350-seat signature restaurant and offering a Malaysian dining experience. Among the hotel's leisure facilities are a fitness facility with cv and weight training equipment by Precor; an outdoor, saltwater swimming pool; a children's pool; and sundecks.
