Esporta heads for Northern Ireland
Esporta is opening a £4m health club in east Belfast this March.
The health and leisure club chain, which already has 40 clubs in the UK, three in Spain and one in Sweden, has also revealed plans to open a further seven clubs in Britain and Spain by the end of 2002.
'While Esporta has a strong presence across Britain, breaking into the Northern Ireland market is a significant step in the company's growth and development,' said Mike Berger-North, Esporta's marketing manager. 'There are a number of health and leisure providers already in the province, but Esporta differentiates itself by its strong emphasis on the family market.'
The Belfast club will have a zone specifically dedicated to children with play, art and craft areas to allow parents to relax and use the facilities. The club will also place a strong emphasis on lifestyle, with a wellbeing centre offering beauty and therapy services. Other facilities available will include a swimming pool, gym and two aerobic studios.
