Cybex UK expands to new headquarters

Commercial fitness equipment provider Cybex International UK has moved to new headquarters in Coalville, Leicestershire, to accommodate the growing UK arm of the business.

The new site will be home to the UK sales and operations teams and includes 5,500sq ft (511sq m) of office space, including new training facilities and a specially built training room.

There is also 5,500sq ft (511sq m) of expandable warehouse storage space plus 3,000sq ft (279sq m) dedicated to spare parts storage.

“The move to the new office represents the progress the UK business has witnessed over recent years,” says Rob Thurston, commercial director for Cybex International UK.

“We can now showcase our equipment and latest innovations onsite, in a fully working gym environment and as soon as they are released to market, which is something that will hugely benefit our sales team and their customers.”

The onsite gym will be open day-to-day for use by Cybex staff and as a showcase site for the manufacturer’s fitness equipment.

A full range of cardio equipment has been installed, including Cybex’s lower body and total body Arc Trainers; strength pieces from the VR1, VR3 and Eagle ranges, as well as the Bravo Functional Training system which features Bravo Pull, Press and Lift stations.

A Big Iron power rack, Jungle Gym and plate loaded equipment have also been installed, alongside dumbbells and functional training pieces from Jordan Fitness.

The new gym has been built in partnership with Premier Logistics, a UK and European transport company, which is also based on the Coalville site with 100 staff that will share the training facility with Cybex.

The 50-seater training room will be used to host seminars available to existing Cybex customers, as well as product training and international sales meetings.
