Canada's Wonderland to open Sky Roller in 2016
Canada’s Wonderland has announced two new additions to the park for 2016, including Gestlauer’s interactive tower ride Sky Roller – the first time it has appeared in North America.
The ride, which will be christened Skyhawk, features “cockpits” in which guests are able to manoeuvre themselves 135ft (41m) above the ground.
The Cedar Fair-owned park, located in Ontario, Canada, is also bringing in Larson International’s Flying Scooters family ride. In-keeping with the avian theme, the classic spinning ride will be called Flying Eagles.
"We are always looking to enhance the guest experience with new and exciting attractions. With the introduction of Skyhawk and Flying Eagles, thrill seekers of all ages will enjoy the flying sensation on these interactive rides that are truly unique to our park,” said Norm Pirtovshek, general manager at Canada's Wonderland.
For 2015, Canada’s Wonderland refreshed its offering with a thrill slide and waterplay area at Splash Works, the attraction’s waterpark.
