Swine Flu causes shutdown of theme park
Theme park operator Six Flags is understood to have temporarily closed its Mexico City site at the request of the government to help slowdown the spread of Swine Flu.
The closure is part of a five-day shutdown of Mexico's economy. It's understood that non-essential government services will be suspended and people-saturated businesses, such as cinemas and restaurants, will be closed. The hybrid virus is currently at level 5 out of six on the World Health Organization's pandemic alert, and 12 countries across three continents have confirmed cases. Although cases of Swine Flu are being reported across America, it is yet to be confirmed whether tourist and theme park hub Orlando, Florida, has been affected.
