Having already been installed at Virgin Active Classic Aldersgate and Virgin Active Twickenham, Wattbike is being introduced at Virgin Active's new flagship London club.

A dedicated zone of the club, at 200 Aldersgate, has seen the installation by Wattbike of eight of its group cycling machines to support a range of classes now being offered.

Wattbike enables each participant to train at the optimal level for their own personal fitness but within a motivating group training environment.

Classes are performed around key performance areas including power, heart rate and cadence, with data drawn from the on-board Wattbike Performance Computer displayed on a large screen to assess performance and communicate feedback to members.

With the fitness data provided, the feel of riding a real bike and the company's unique pedal technique analysis, Wattbike is seen by Virgin Active as bringing a new level of structured training to the club. The classes comprise a series of sessions with Wattbike-trained instructors and a range of specialised training and testing programs for cyclists and triathletes.
