World Class launches flagship club in Russia
Russian fitness chain World Class recently launched its largest club, located in Strogino, Russia.
Spanning 10,000sq m and designed to cater for 3,800 members, World Class Strogino has a 900sq m gym equipped by Technogym. There are also two large group fitness studios and a studio with a boxing ring and martial arts zone. Meanwhile, fans of pilates can train in a specialist pilates studio offering Gratz equipment.
Other facilities include a fitness testing area, a four-lane 25m swimming pool with a variety of programming on offer, and an 800sq m sports hall/multi-functional area for tennis, table tennis, volleyball, basketball and football.
The club also incorporates the national squash centre, which occupies the majority of the club’s footprint.
Welcoming the family market, World Class Strogino has a Kids Club running a number of programmes including team games and Les Mills’ Born to Move.
For post-workout relaxation, there’s an extensive wellness area, which includes a Beauty SPA by World Class, a Russian banya, Turkish and Finnish saunas, tropical shower, ice fountain and a hot whirlpool.
As well as a fitness bar selling a range of healthy drinks, there is a restaurant operated by the Ginza project.
