REPs launches online database
A listing of all members of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) has now been launched on the organisation’s website.
This public register lists the basic details for each and every member and means that members of the public and prospective employers can check the validity of an exercise professional claiming to be registered.
The listing, which is updated weekly, includes a member’s name, registration number, level and status of registration. No personal contact information or employment details are listed.
“This new addition is part of a general overhaul of the website to bring it up to date and to provide a wider range of services and benefits to members,” said REPs registrar Cliff Collins.
“Easier search facilities are now operational, with downloadable forms and an extended list of endorsed training providers.
“Details of the Professional Practice Committee and the Code of Ethical Practice are also given.
“Members who provide us with an e-mail address now also receive a fortnightly e-zine containing information on jobs, recruitment, training and industry news. This highly acclaimed service is provided by The Leisure Media Company, publisher of Health Club Management.”
