Pulse officially opens Carshalton centre
Equipment supplier and operator Pulse has officially opened the doors to a new £4.3m dual use leisure complex in south London - in partnership with Carshalton College.
Pulse Health & Fitness Carshalton boasts an 18m swimming pool, a 70 station Pulse Fitness suite, sports hall, two dance studios, luxury sauna and a changing village.
Pulse was appointed principal contractor in 2009 to demolish the existing sports hall and to design, build, project manage, equip and operate the new leisure complex.
The agreement now sees Pulse operating the facility for the next 30 years as a private site with the college gaining timetabled access to the facilities during term time.
Chris Johnson, managing director of Pulse said: "We were given a complete blank canvas at Carshalton, enabling us to create - from ground up - the ultimate facility on a realistic budget.
"This site is a great flagship site for Pulse and will be used as the blue print for future developments".
