Health check course launched
Fitness training provider Amacsports has launched a new course aimed at training health professionals with the skills required to carry out personalised professional health check reports.
The one-day seminars will be held monthly from February at selected venues in Canterbury, Brighton, Birmingham and Orpington.
The SkillsActive-endorsed programme will earn trainees eight continual development points on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) – an industry list of all qualified instructors and their competence levels.
Attendees to the course will also be given the opportunity to learn how to create electronic client reports using specially designed software. The software, designed by Optimum Fitness, aims to keep clients motivated to pursue their programmes and achieve their goals.
David Lee, education and training director at Amacsports, said “We are pleased to be working with Optimum Fitness to combine the practical fitness testing skills and the easy-to-use software to health and fitness professionals for use in their everyday work.”
