Fitness4Less to open Nottingham club
Budget gym operator Fitness4Less has acquired a new site for a club in Nottingham.
The 15,500sq ft unit is situated in "The Pod" - Bildurn Properties' mixed-use scheme in Fletchergate.
Fit-out will commence immediately for this new-build, open-plan property, with the opening scheduled in time for January 2011.
The acquisition is part of the chain's ambitious expansion plans. In January 2010, the company appointed leisure property specialists Christie + Co to oversee the acquisition and development programme across the UK.
According to Jon Patrick, head of leisure at Christie, the property's location, on the doorstep of mixed-use development will ensure significant footfall.
"The Pod is a great location for Fitness4Less - it's easily accessible and provides high quality space," he said.
Emma Edwards, marketing director of Fitness4Less, said: "Our low cost fitness model has proved very popular and our expansion plans will see us developing many more clubs over the next two years."
Bristol-based Fitness 4 Less launched its first site in September 2007. Fitness 4 Less offers monthly memberships at £14.99 while annual memberships range from £99 to £150.
