Legoland Florida, the Merlin Entertainments-operated theme park in Winter Haven, US, which opened last October, has announced the launch of its new Legoland-branded waterpark.
Florida-based audio-visual integration firm Technomedia Solutions secured the audio-visual systems design-build contract for the development at the former Cypress Gardens site.
The Legoland Water Park contains a 1,000ft (305m) Build-A-Raft lazy river and twin chasers, which see friends ride tubes down an intertwining pair of 375ft (114m) enclosed water slides.
Splash Out involves a 60ft (18m) drop down slides into water below, with Joker Soaker and Duplo Safari also among the features at the new waterpark attraction.
Entry to the Legoland Water Park requires a Legoland Florida ticket and a US$12 (EUR10, £8) upgrade. The 12-month Premium Annual Pass includes unlimited access to both parks.
Legoland Florida general manager Adrian Jones said: "This is an important day for us as we continue to grow our presence in Central Florida.
"With the debut of our new water park, Legoland Florida is now easily a two-day experience, which puts us well down the road toward our goal of becoming a multi-day resort destination."
