Adaland unveils new Dolphinpark
Adaland Aquapark in Turkey has unveiled its latest attraction, the 3m euro (£2.05m, US$3.8m) 40,000sq m (430,000sq ft) Dolphinpark.
Located next to the aquapark, Dolphinpark features five salt-water pools and a 1,500-capacity amphitheatre. Visitors can watch dolphins and seals and learn about their habits and characteristics and even swim with dolphins in a specially designed pool.
The park has been designed to resemble the ancient Library of Celsius – once the world’s biggest library – the remains of which lie 10km away from Adaland in Ephesus.
The project was designed and built by Gunaydinlar Eglence ve Turizm Yatirimlari Inc.
Next year, Adaland is set to unveil a further new development, Seapark.
Opening in May 2007, the 50,000sq m (540,000 sqft) area will boast tropical aquariums, four salt-water pools and a tropical river. Guests will be able to interact with dolphins, sharks and stingrays as well as other tropical creatures and scuba dive in the tropical reef pool. Details: www.adaland.com
